Song information The song (not to be confused with Borderline by Madonna) was released as Michael Gray's second single in mid-2006 (see 2006 in music). While "Borderline" failed to match the success of its predecessor "The Weekend" it entered the top twenty on various charts including - the Official UK. Singles Chart and Dance Chart, UK. Upfront Club and Australian ARIA Club charts. It often fell off then re-entered the Australian ARIA Dance chart, for example it charted at #20 on 12/02/2007, months after its initial release. Produced by Michael Gray, the song contains a sample replay of Chapter 8's 1979 RnB hit "Ready For Your Love". It was released as Gray's second solo single in July 2006 in the UK. It debuted on the UK singles chart at #58 and then rose to its peak at #12. It features guest vocalist Shelly Poole (formerly of Alisha's Attic) on vocals, she also co-wrote the track. It got to the B-list on Radio 1 in late July. It has been included on many compilation albums.
