Miss You

Earlier this year, two powerhouse global talents, LTN and Ad Brown, teamed up with rising vocal sensation Cat Martin on "Miss You," a poignant progressive masterpiece. We are honored to feature their work again, courtesy of two brand new interpretations. Specifically, on remix detail, we've recruited our wonderful Silk Music Showcase resident host and recent "Urban Monks" (artist album) composer Jayeson Andel, as well as the exceedingly gifted Russian talent (and fellow veteran contributor) Piramex. First up, Jayeson serves up a ferocious, genre-bending take on "Miss You." Centering on a roaring bassline, the first half of his remix deliberately features a minimalistic midrange, which allows Cat Martin's performance to shine. The original song's central motif, a hypnotic vocal stab sequence, is then suddenly buttressed by a muscular new groove, as well as a variety of glitchy and hallucinogenic synth lines. Jayeson's superlative vocal production is on full display in the main break; Cat Martin's plaintive vocal is seemingly backed by a full orchestra. The drop to follow is thunderous and truly mesmerizing. Piramex's smooth and progressive-flavored remix rounds out the release. A relatively gentler rhythm section and heavily filtered midrange have the effect of imbuing Cat's opening verse with a profound fragility. A discriminating ear will also catch a variety of new melodic variations, including a brand new lead theme in the breakdown. The patient arrangement in the song's opening minutes eventually evolves into a jubilant, peak-hour sound, effectively flipping the script on the aching lyrics and romantic longing in Cat Martin's beautiful vocal.
