Over the past ten years the influx of Brazilian music in terms of travelling Djs and producers, as well as sampling and production in general, has been growing at an exponential rate. During this time Bulldozer Media has had the benefit of being on the ground in one of the most rapidly developing countries in South America and as a result has been at the forefront of championing and exploiting Brazilian music and musicians on a global scale. The Future Sound Of Brasil album aims to further increase Brazil’s reputation as a world music pioneer on all fronts as well as bringing some of the best musicians available to the fore. Drawing on the relationships built with successful Brazilian artists and international artists alike, the album contains some exclusive recordings from world-renowned acts as well as some of the most memorable and exciting tracks currently available. ARTIST INFO THE KIDS FROM JAPAN – Remixed by Rodrigo Ferrari and DJ Teclas The Kids from Japan are remixed here by Rodrigo Ferrari and DJ Teclas – two extremely multi-talented individuals. Rodrigo Ferrari actually learned and plied his early trade after graduating from the SAE in London, where he took advantage of the incumbent nightlife and music scene and endeavoured to take his productions to a whole new level. Teclas is certainly the DJ of the duo and has enjoyed universal plaudits from fans, critics and pundits alike. Currently working on a fresh batch of remixes for high profile labels both he and Mr Ferrari are ones to watch for the future. THE TWELVES From Rio de Janeiro, Brasil, "The Twelves" consist of duo João Miguel and Luciano Oliveira back in 2005. The name came from the strange coincidence of their birthdays: 12th July 1980. The sound of the duo brings influences from many genres. Among the most influential to their sound are Daft Punk, Justice, Rˆyksopp, Vitalic, Simian Mobile Disco, MSTRKRFT, Clor, Cut Copy and Goldfrapp. Their live show is a unique blend of live keyboards, drum machines, mash-ups and remixing on the fly. Always trying to improvise as much as possible. COPACABANA CLUB Copacabana Club are one of the newest shining lights to be unearthed in Brazil. After forming in 2007 the band have risen dramatically up the musical rankings, culminating in sponsorship by Levi's Music in Brazil. The release “Just Do It!” and subsequent video has been shown around the world to massive acclaim and a formidable album is in the works coming of the back of two extremely successful Eps. GUI BORATTO Born in 1974 in São Paulo Brazil,Gui Boratto - architect, musician, composer and producer - began his career in the advertising sector in 1993. From 1994 until 2004 his work appeared on both national and international record labels, including EMI, Virgin, Irma, BMG, Edel, Vidisco, and ZYX. Over these 10 years he worked with artists such as Pato Banton, Garth Brooks, Steel Pulse, Desiree, Manu Chao, Gal Costa, Chico Buarque, Fernanda Porto, Kaleidoscópio, Leila Pinheiro, and many others. MARCELINHO CIC Marcelinho CIC is the manager and owner of the Brazilian Label "Audio Family Recordings", his international career began in February 2006, after being invited by TITAN agency to go on his first tour in Europe. He also remixed the famous Chaka Khan hit ¨I Feel for You¨ wich made him known among the top DJs, being executed in the sets of Carl Cox, Valentino Kanzyani and Marco V. All this happening in less than one year, CIC has become known in the International market, showing his work and taking Brazilian reputation throughout the music horizons. DJ MARKY DJ Marky began his illustrious career in the early 1980’s, and by the start of the 90’s he had already established himself as a phenomenal DJ with the added bonus of being a terrific performer. Marky’s groundbreaking album “The Brazilian Job” was one of the best DnB compilation albums in terms of worldwide sales and overall success at the time of its release. It was a real breakthrough for the genre as a whole as it saw the summer smash “LK” reach number 17 in the UK Top 40 Singles chart. A feat almost unheard of in recent times, especially for a dance DJ/producer, and only equalled by fellow countrymen Tom Jobim and Sepultura RODRIGO CAMPOS Dj produtor Rodrigo Campos, since the age of 14 has been in the world of mixing. His first experience in this art was in 1994 at Oz club, and from there he started a career with enormous success that until today is walking with the new technique and tendencies from the global electronic music. Nowadays this DJ concentrates his musicality and research to a dancing and groovy sound that is well known for its bass line from House and its sub genres. Being a producer since 2003, his track has been played by well-known DJs from around the globe. VIET2 Viet2, or Ricardo Guedes, has been in and around the music scene since the age of eighteen. Over the years he has been at the forefrnt of the Brazilian House music scene by way of multiple radio shows and an expansive discography that boasts tracks across 23 compilations and 3 DVDs. Having remixed the likes of Madonna and Simply Red, and played at some of the most important festivals in South America, where he is a resident at the now world famous Spirit of London festival, Viet2 is a truly diligent and technical DJ and producer, who always manages to infuse his work with sincereity and a level of energy and intensity like no other. MIXHELL Mixhell is a new and exciting collaboration which aims to fuse together the best and most uplifting elements of the rock and electronica scenes to create a „Rock-tronica“ effect. With this in mind, Iggor and wife Laima have moved the project from its creative home in the studio to the stage where it has become a DJ project with an extraordinary Live percussion element. SAN SCHWARTZ / GU He is considered a pioneer, dedicated on turning eletronic music something vicious in Santa Catarina. ANDERSON NOISE Anderson Noise, one of Brazil’s true pioneers of dance music, further proves Brazil is leading the way with DJ talent. Famous in his native Brazil for rocking the dancefloors with his original Brazilian-flavoured funky techno & tech-house sets, Anderson Noise is one of Brazil’s biggest and most popular Djs. RENATO COHEN Renato Cohen is undoubtedly one of the best and most high profile producers and DJs in Brazil at the present time. His ability and talent have made him one of the most sought after artists within his genre across South America and mainland Europe. Although predominantly a Techno artist, Renato Cohen’s sets retain some elements of house music also. The basic fundamental element of his work is definitely the “groove”. Music is a way of life for Renato and his experiences came from a healthy and equal share of musical theory classes, collaborations with some top producers, creativity in the studio and technical ability in the clubs.
