Second Helping
Thank you for picking up “Second Helping.” This CD had been a blessing since the start. Once again this project could not have been complete without the help of Slimdog and Nobull of the Block Scholars. Thank you David Bell Jr., Bennett Baskerville and introducing Sinshere who provided some great music and rap on several of these cuts. I am thrilled to collaborate on a song from my high school friend Charlie McGeehan. Thanks so much Charlie for providing some great rhythm with that Old School sound I love so much. Face Book reunited me with Tom Aldrich (TA), another old friend from one of my first successful groups. I’m so thankful Tom for you and what you brought to this project, your writing is truly unique and extremely funky, something I will always admire. I would also thank Chato the Unlimited for his dynamic contribution to these cuts as well, thank you Alejandro Linarese for rapping the thoughts I could never express but always wanted to. New to the project I would like to thank Sinshere for adding his flavor to these cuts, let it never be said that Al Johnson didn’t come through in a hurry! Once again I have the privilege to have “Knowledge” keeping it real with some serious rap on this CD. My thanks to Mike Simpson for all that he is and does to help make my projects successful. And my very special guests Dion “Casualti” Dillard rapping on a song that means so much to me, thank you Dion for adding a your lyrical expertise to this project. It is always nice to add additional vocalist on my projects, this time around I had the pleasure of working with Trevor Smith, an outstanding singer who taken this project to the next level. Also I would like to thank a old friend for adding his special touch to a song that means so much to me, Steve Strain, your sax sounds so nice. A special thanks to my graphic designer Morgan Hutchinson who made this project shine with her talent of graphic design. Most of all I want to thank my executive producer “Suave” for allowing me all the recording time and use of his production company, my heart felt thanks to David Vasquez lead engineer and Miguel Hernandez (Poetic), assistant engineer, and Matt Rushmer of Rushmer Sound. Let us not forget the mastering guru Tom Aldrich of Mystery Hill Studios in Orlando Florida. Without you guys this project could have never been completed, thank you so much!
