Journey Home

Born in Hobbs, New Mexico on March 2, 1969, I learned to play the guitar and sing waching my father. Kenny Haynes has been a musician all my life. I started writing songs and playing the guitar at age 7 but I didn't understand music until the school band. I played trumpet and excelled, , 1st or 2nd chair. I graduated Hobbs High and joined the Navy, stationed aboard the U.S.S Midway. I contiued to play, singing and writing songs whenever I could. Discharged in 1990, I enrolled in college in Alamagordo, NM. and joined a group called 'Talisman'. We played in New Mexico, Texas, and Florida. My first CD “Journey Home” was finished in 2007. It is 12 original songs glorifying the Lord. I developed my own style. We played 60's, 70’s music but 90’s country was the rave! I played bass guitar and sang Garth Brooks, Alan Jackson, and Brooks and Dunn. I got back to basics in Abilene, Texas , but I moved to Dallas and started writing about the Lord and going to church. I joined a Church in Garland. While singing one of my first songs, it touched the heart of a man by the name of Rick Wright. He encouraged me and helped me form a band called “CONSECRATED”. We play Churches, Coffee Houses, and Malls. We are looking forward to a great and exciting 2011! We continue to write new songs so come see us and you will always hear something new! We want to become a great blessing to our venue and those who hear our music. We want to inspire you and make you want to be what you were made to be. We have recently joined efforts with our new friends at ‘Cross my Heart of Texas Publishing’ and look forward to new contacts and successful ventures with the light and love of the Lord. I love to be inspired with a new song on my mind and in my heart. Most of the time my songs come right out of the air. They will hit me like a stone and I sit down and write that song in minutes! Then, there is the occasional song that will not let go of its charm until months have passed and I have hammered away at it for ages. I do not know why the different techniques or which is better, although I tend to lean towards the faster easier to write songs. Thank you for reading about me and our band 'CONSECRATED'. Reach further, longer, and stronger for your high calling in our Lord and savior Jesus Christ. when it comes to my music I try and sing it as pure and uninfluenced as I can. Because I feel like it is my song giving to this individual vessal from God. Therefore, I feel like it should be sung as pure and as best Sean Haynes can sing it.
