Flowcaine 2
Houston we have a problem and no I'm not talking about issues dealing with NASA, I'm talking about another young MC setting trends down here in these southern streets. He is like the character Taz from the cartoon Looney Toons because he is tearing up the streets with his flow. Houston born upcoming artist Abe W. P., rap name A3, has a lot the entire music industry. His name, A3, is derived from his first name, A for Abe and 3 because he's the third generation in his family to carry the name. Born a poet at heart the young 23 year old is right out of Houston's SouthPark, DeadEnd and has been rapping since his early stages of childhood. He started his garage in 1991 free-styling on a karaoke machine. A3 went from free-styling out of his garage to rapping wit some of Houston's stars like Big Moe and The Wreckshop Family. As an underground artist A3 has sold 10,000 plus units out the trunk of his car, therefore, when it's time to shine success is not an issue. A3 truly stands out from a lot of artist in Houston and is now ready to address and bless the world with his un-cut lyrics. Hooking up with artist such as Noke-D and Big Moe put him in the door with Houston's independent label, Wreckshop Records in 2002. A3 already had the song "My City Screwed Up" featuring Big Moe and the great late Fat Pat, which caught the attention of D-reck (C.E.O. of Wreckshop). He was later offered a chance to come by the studio not knowing that he would end up on the song "Superstar" off the Dirty 3rd movie soundtrack. The talented rapper has so much to offer that others don't, basically he's the truth. No disrespect to rappers before and after him but Texas has been missing the true universal hip hop sound of the rap game, but once A3 is heard the truth will be told. Even though Houston is over flooded with talent, A3 is overshadowing a lot of upcoming artist from H-Town (Houston) and surrounding cities. A3 is known for spittin reality , if he hasn't experienced it then he won't speak on it. You can give him any beat and he'll WRECK it. So you either roll with him or get rolled over in the process. A3 is still building his market as an artist and would like to make records with anyone that's hot and willing to work with him. He is just not another rapper rapping for a check, he won't accept anything less than a successful career. Some of his favorite artist are Tupac, Biggie, and Fat Pat, many people say that he sounds like the late Fat Pat and Biggie Smalls by the way he swings his rhymes, the man is versatile. How many artist can swing their lyrics from down south to the east coast? On this issue A3 says he has a different format for every song," It depends on how the track makes me feel, it's an emotional process." Like most rappers, A3 grew up facing the hard knock life. He chose to run the streets at a young age but avoided staying in trouble with the law. This bad boy turned rapper used rapping as alleyway to stay out of trouble and an alternative to the problems of the stressful life of growing up in the slums. He states, "I rather be born struggling and die comfortable rather than to be comfortable and die struggling." Now A3 just enjoys making good music for himself and others, "God saved me from a lot of the f**ked situations, so I'm just being positive trying grow better everyday." Prior to signing with Wreckshop he started his own record label called Trensetta's along with artists such as Dre-P, C-Los, and J-Dub. Like stated before ,A3 is the next hottest MC out and he is setting trends. His message to upcoming artists is to stay focused and don't let anyone tell you that you are not good enough. "Believe in your own material cause if you don't nobody else will." So look out for A3 because he is the Texas heat wave burning his way to the top.
