Saddle Up
Saddle up was the first hit single in 1982 by the french singer and songwriter Jaques Pepino, better known under his artist name David Christie. The track became a hit all over Europe and an all time club classic during the next decades until today. David Christie also wrote several songs for Tina Charles, including her world hit I love to love, by using one of his pseudonyms James Bolden or Napoleon Jones. David Christie also wrote many other songs for artists such as Grace Jones or Gloria Gaynor. For an official remake of Saddle up with the original vocals from 82, the german DJ/producer duo Traumton teamed up with the US rapper Eric Singleton for a new version produced in the current Tropical House style. Traumton gained first international success mainly through their remakes of Tina Charles I love to love, which entered several charts worldwide and achieved millions of streaming. Even though their roots lie more in club-related Deep House and House tracks, Traumton has always been open for new experiences. This time they teamed up with Eric Singleton, who became worldwide famous as the rapper and part of the german group Modern Talking during their comeback. Eric Singleton grew up in New York before he came to Germany to join several music projects. Amongst others he was featured on 2 singles by Sinclair & Wilde, which achieved gold and platinum status in several countries. His big breakthrough came when he became a part of Modern Talking. The first single Youre my heart, youre my soul, reached the top charts in nearly every country incl. Uk, as well as the following singles and albums, which all achieved gold and platinum status and selling millions of units. Eric Singleton joined Modern Talking also on at least 6 world tours during the years, meanwhile collaborating with different artists like Shaggy.
