Ridin'

Ridin'

"Ridin'" (originally titled "My *****") is an unreleased rap song by Lana Del Rey and ASAP Rocky. The song was written by Rocky and Del Rey, after their work together on Del Rey's "National Anthem" music video, and was produced by The Kickdrums. Both Rocky and The Kickdrums referred to the song as "Ridin'". "Ridin'" was originally slotted to be on The Kickdrums' mixtape Follow the Leaders but was cut from the final tracklist. The Kickdrums explained "well, we had like a general consensus to go ahead and leak it," and "ASAP really wanted to use it for his album". ASAP Rocky did not end up putting the track on his album LONG.LIVE.A$AP and almost three months after the interview with The Kickdrums, the song was leaked on DDotOmen. The day after "Ridin'" leaked, Rocky posted in now-deleted tweets saying the lyrics were just for his reference saying "I care about my craft too much to give the ppl [sic] garbage like that". The Kickdrums also took to twitter to confirm that they didn't leak the track, and were as surprised as everyone else.[2] An official looking cover, assumed to be created by a fan, caused more issues with the possibility of an intentional leak by The Kickdrums. The cover used an image taken from the "National Anthem" music video of Del Rey and Rocky with orange text reading "Ridin'" on top. The song is registered with Del Rey as the sole writer on the HFA Songfile, but her and ASAP are listed as performers. It samples the instrumental from the song "And I Panicked" by The Dramatics.
