Released just under a year after the initial Rush Icon, this double-disc 2011 set simply adds another disc to that 2010 collection -- a disc of live performances, to be exact. Rush always shine on the lighted stage but this heavy addition of concert performances doesn’t necessarily add depth to Icon, which already had a handful of live performances, nor does it necessarily turn this into a thorough retrospective. Instead, it just adds more -- more songs, more music, more of what Rush are all about -- which is enough to make this another entertaining sampler of the Canadian trio.
