MTV Unplugged

As Noel explains at the beginning Liam didn't make it because of a "sore throat" which is probably true (if you listen to some of the performances on the Abel & Cain bootleg Liam's voice sounds very hoarse). However even without Liam's inclusion, the band shines with these acoustic versions. My only complaint is that Noel desperately needs backing vocals from time to time, particularly in Cast No Shadow. I always thought Noel was a better singer than Liam anyway. Nevertheless it's a nice change to hear these songs acoustically and by Noel instead of Liam, and any serious Oasis fan should check it out. Track Picks: Live Forever, Whatever, Hello.
