New Dawn

Egyptian duo Abdelrahman Hamdy Ragab and Ahmed El-Zeiny bring us their first release on Defcon with New Dawn, which has already won some early support from their fellow countrymen, trance legends Aly & Fila. A & Z offer two variations on their track, with the original mix and a somewhat darker "Midnight" mix - both combining an epic synth-laden breakdown with an infectious lead, complimented by a driving bassline. Defcon favourite Magdelayna gives us a proggier, journey-like interpretation of the track with his remix, that builds and builds with intricate arp-work leading to a powerful climax. Rounding things off is Sergey Shabanov with another remix to add to his growing discography that is winning him over more and more fans - with more from him due on Defcon soon! His remix is a melodic and chunky affair that delivers a powerful punch.
