Billboard Top Hits 1976
Billboard Top Hits: 1976 gathers the year's ten biggest hits, which range from the sunny pop of Elton John's "Don't Go Breaking My Heart" and the Bay City Rollers' "Saturday Night" to Wild Cherry's "Play That Funky Music" to Gary Wright's "Dream Weaver." Eric Carmen's weepy rendition of "All By Myself," the Bellamy Brothers' "Let Your Love Flow," and the Miracles' "Love Machine" are some of the other highlights of the collection, which also includes songs from Elvin Bishop, Rhythm Heritage, and England Dan. Though it reflects the year's eclectic taste in singles, Billboard Top Hits: 1976 isn't quite as cohesive a collection as some of the series' other volumes.
