You Know I'll Make It
Artists are among the most self-motivated, organized, disciplined, and hardest working people. Savvy Records would like to celebrate it's tenth release in honour of that with a brand new EP featuring five rad remixes. Hosted by DJ and label founder Discrete, 'You Know I'll Make It' pays homage to the perseverance of the dedicated artist. Picking up steam in the international scene, Discrete's new tracks are being broadcasted on air via satellite and FM radio, including a one hour special on Reprezent FM in the United Kingdom and Nightflight on Radio Fritz with Tobias Koch in Berlin. When the young artist isn't putting together sculptures and new work for upcoming exhibitions, Kyle Yip is busy producing electronic music in his Toronto studio for Savvy Records and collaborations for Andre Crom's new Off Spin label. René van Munster has been wowing audiences worldwide with his multidisciplinary skill-set and unique quirky style. You can find René DJing, producing, and performing in Tokyo with various artists and orchestras. Specializing in classical music as cellist, René's orchestral influences can be clearly heard in his remix. Ethereal strings carry us through a playful tech-house arrangement consisting of sporadic whispers reminding listeners of his deeply-seeded passion for music. Recently signed to the Savvy roster is Thore Pfeiffer from Germany. Introducing two contrasting alter-egos from he same mind, Pfeiffer unveils two fresh remixes in this EP. The E-Typ version is club-worthy pulsing tech-house with fidgety basslines and scrambled vocals that'll surely get you into the groove. In his second interpretation, Eroht slows things down with a ten minute mix using the same parts. Supporting chants hypnotize us and level the mood in this elongated metaphor reflecting the artist's journey. UK based techno aficionado and resident DJ in Manchester Phil Denton carries one hefty resume. Spinning alongside some of the most respected techno producers in the world including Robert Hood, Ben Sims, James Ruskin and Dave Clarke, Phil's forging a solid reputation as an artist with a steady discography. Denton keeps it heavy in his remix of 'La Musique' with his stadium rockin' ground-pounder and provides smooth hi-hats to ride through your colourful tunnel-vision experience. And last but certainly not least, Jiman from Skyrock radio presents us his industrial stripped-down rendition of 'La Musique'. Jiman says more with less by gutting out the original vox and leaving the beat bare bones, emphasizing the anti-thesis behind the title. Having support from Mark E, Nic Sarno and The Bulgarian, we're pumped to be starting out the new year with an already successful release!
