22.38
With 22.38 Weiss generates a transparent even clearer sound, as his endeavours for the resolution of tonal constructions into shattered soundscapes has found a new pole: an extremely workable and at the same time redundantly set rhythmic structure. The results are now and then crystalline pictures of sinus like foldings; some piece even seems to be dangling before it rises like a phoenix from the ashes at another passage. Certainly it clicks and coos within the tracks like in a hive but this time it remains the principle of cracking, clearly upgraded basic forms in which phrasings are being cut in again and again until a framework emerges that keeps its secret especially in its broken structures.
