Arguably one of the most anticipated remixes of the year (and last year), Carl Craig remixes Theo Parrishs Falling Up from Detroit Beatdown Vol1 (3ECD/LP-001). The original is a wonderfully original piece of music, typical of Theo Parrish. At 12 minutes it was one of the highlights of Detroit Beatdown Vol 1. To us at Third Ear, there was really only one artist who we ever considered for this remix; Carl Craig. What we had to consider was, who could take a Theo Parrish track and conceivably produce something of equal substance and effect. Carl has stepped up to the mark and produced an awesome track. It is a full blown Carl Craig track, but faithfully keeps the original in mind, and in structure. Lets stop the words. If ever music should be left to do the talking, its this record. Play Loud."
