Don't Hold Back
The outlaws of the infamous .dotbleep gang from Chicago return to the poker table with another no holds barred hand of killer trax from the acid house slinger Kink. A Bulgarian native, Kink is no stranger to the Chicago acid house sound and with this sonic clash his creative voice is spoken loud and clear in an authentic and honest dialog. "Don’t Hold Back" is an Andy Warholish rendition of a jack track as if Andy was behind a proper analog studio and not a screen print. Taking the essence of the original but adding to it new colors that bring fresh life to its archetype. This tune is the match in the middle of a riot that's looking for fuel to ignite the fire! "Lift It Up" is something a bit on the modern front and is the soundtrack for a scene in an acid house horror film. The drama strikes at the moment you think it safe to catch a breath - within seconds the knife wielding maniac is not far behind you in the dark ominous forest of your imagination. Full of stop and start madness, the chase never ends or does it? "Shockwaves" is what acid house is all about. The tune has a timeless vibe but Kink has refined the classic with modern standards while leaving all of the track's natural roots and foundations in place. Its like Dr. Who went to a parallel Chicago where the warehouse party days never ended! These stormers are already receiving praise from the likes Richie Hawtin, Jay Haze, Traxx, DJ Heather, Wasted Chicago Youth, Adam Marshall and Derrick Carter. This release is nothing short of a full house!
