L.A. Woman / Manila (Remixes)
Following the huge success of his previous 12?, ?Manila? (KL034), swiss guy Beat Solér aka SEELENLUFT strikes again! ?LA Woman? features guest vocalist Elbautz, an Elvis-Impersonator SEELENLUFT met in a Karaoke bar, who has since become a member in his "Silvercity Bob Orchestra". On ?Manila?, 12-year-old Mikemaster Michael Smith provides his utterly charming mic skills about being on a plane bound for Manila, asking for curry chicken, as the pilots lose control. Both tracks originally appeared on his album ?Out Of The Woods? and have now been re-worked, re-structured and re-mixed for your pleasure. San Francisco?s notorious duo TIPSY, consoldating the quirky talents of Dave Gardner and Tim Digullia, deliver a heady cocktail of exotic lounge grooves in their version of ?LA Woman?. SEELENLUFT himself has also done a brand new mix of the song. It?s called ?Bob Goes To Hollywood Version? and just floats along gently, like a stroll on the sun-kissed streets of that city. The flipside features an inspired mix of ?Manila? by EWAN PEARSON, otherwise known as WORLD OF APPLES (Giant 45) and MAAS (Soma Records). EWAN PEARSON is known as one of the most respected producers in the UK and we?re quite happy that he joins our list of remixers with this one. HEADMAN are Zürich?s painter/DJ/producer Rob Insinna and his swiss mate, sound engineer and musician Ralph Peter. Their HEADMAN vocal mix (also featured on KL034) comes inna straight electro pop style and has been re-mastered for full frequency attack on the dancefloor.
