Constant Sorrow: Gems from the Elektra Vaults 1956-1962
Started by Jac Holzman and Paul Rickolt in New York in 1950, Elektra became one of the greatest and most influential independent record labels of the twentieth century, and would become a cornerstone of the early-Sixties folk revival. Including the likes of Judy Collins and Glenn Yarbrough, this 50-track set charts Elektra’s beginnings and its significant contribution to making folk the cultural force it became and remains to this day.
