Inntimate Songs
Head of A&R at RCA Victor Records, Henri Rene, sensed that April Stevens had an unusual quality when he signed her to his label in the early Fifties. Her sensous and alluring vocals combined with sugestive lyrics caused uproar in the 'politically correct' Fifties. Some of her songs, including the hit 'Teach Me Tiger' was blacklisted by many radiostations and sold mainly by word of mouth. Featured here on this EP are some of her most intimate songs.
