Ed Solo & Skool Of Thought have been enjoying the lime light of late and their reputations as producers continue to hot up, with some of last years biggest tunes under their belts, such as When I Was A Yout, Love Your Life and their huge remix of Freestylers and Pendulums Painkiller. With their debut album, Random Acts Of Kindness, now just around the corner, the duo keep the pressure on with this new double a-side single. As the title suggests, Babylon Breaks draws on reggae influences, yet it avoids all the usual clichés. Sampling King Tubbys Leaving Babylon, Ed Solo & Skool Of Thought add their trade mark funky beats and rump shaking basslines, a perfect follow up to When I Was A Yout which received big support from BBC Radio 1s Annie Mac, Zane Lowe, Annie Nightingale and Tayo. On the flip, the guys come correct with Believe In The Funk. This pure, low-slung groover is already getting booty moving on the dance floors, with a funky bassline and Darrisons vocoded vocals showing this duo have many styles.
