Rauschgold: Alec Empire Plays Staubgold
After last year's "Dinner Music For Clubbers" (staubgold 82 cd) by Peter Grummich, it's now Alec Empire (ex-Atari Teenage Riot) who put his hands on the Staubgold label back catalogue in order to produce the second volume in this on-going series of dj mix cds. 70min of droning Krautronica madness that make you move and even dance. Compiled, mixed and edited by Alec Empire. Selected by A.E. and Markus Detmer. Photo: Meike Jansen, taken at Maria Am Ostbahnhof, Berlin. Alec Empire (born Alexander Wilke-Steinhof on 2 May 1972 in Charlottenburg, West-Berlin) is a German musician who is best known as a founding member of the band Atari Teenage Riot. Also a prolific and distinguished solo artist, producer and DJ, he has released well over a hundred albums, eps and singles and remixed over seventy tracks for artists popular and relatively unknown alike.
