The RCA Recordings 1953-1958
Eartha Kitt died on Christmas Day 2008 at her US home. She had performed in over 100 countries, singing in ten different languages and had been honoured with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. She gave new meaning to the word versatile, distinguishing herself in film, drama, cabaret, music and on television. Of herself, Kitt commented: ‘I’m an orphan. But the public has adopted me and that has been my only family. The biggest family in the world is my fans.’ Join that family as you listen to her greatest Fifties recordings.
