Willie's Blues - 26 Original Recordings
First released in 1959, 'Willie's Blues' is Willie Dixon's first solo album. It was recorded at Rudy Van Gelder's studio in New Jersey in a mere two hours the musicians had between flights, which probably accounts for the loose, jam-session style. Follows 'Songs of Memphis Slim and "Wee Willie" Dixon', another album to be treasured by all those who love the blues. The four bonus tracks are more intimate duo affairs from the live 'At The Village Gate'.
