Kerologistics
With over 13 releases on some of electronic music's most celebrated and innovative labels such as Bpitch, Ghostly and Shitkatapult and most recently Downwards, as well as his own critically acclaimed Detroit Underground Records, Kero (born Sohail Azad) has established a reputation for his unrepentant, brash, yet cultivated compositions and unforgettable live performances, most recently, alongside notables such as Speedy J, Ken Ishii and Funkstorung. Furthermore, he has established himself as a leader within the growing pack of electronic music producers successfully infiltrating contemporary art circles worldwide. On "Kerologistics" Kero's approach to music, graphic design and video feeds on the detritus of popular culture, creating a montage of fleeting musical and visual experiences that are both critical of and enamoured with contemporary culture. Kero conducts visual and aural investigations, inspired by alien sonic landscapes his complex sequencing may well be the only rational response to such challenges. There's a feint in the sound, where raw digital mayhem confronts hip-hop, the rave experience amd the most rarefied of techno experiments. T34g adopts a banging bashment bassline, but the result could only really hail from Windsor, Detroit.
