MUSICAL MOMENTS TO REMEMBER - Lynn Vera: I'm in the Mood for Love
Vera Lynn or "The Force's Sweetheart"! She is probably the most famous and most decorated glamour and show star, who started her career in the Mid-Nineteen Thirties. During the war Vera Lynn toured Egypt, India, and Burma as part of ENSA, giving outdoor concerts for the troops. The songs most associated with her are "We'll Meet Again"and"A Nightingale Sang in Berkeley Square" which are both included in this album. She was appointed Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in the 1969 New Year Honours "for services to the Royal Air Forces Association and other charities", and was advanced to Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire (DBE) in the 1975 Birthday Honours for charitable services. The 20 tracks on this album all come from Vera Lynn's early career and have been carefully remastered in 24 Bit High Definition from the best available originals.
