Telemann, Vivaldi & Others: Chamber Works
Since 1986 the Stuttgart Brass Quartet has enriched the world of chamber music, especially the brass scene, with its unmistakable sound and more than 70 arrangements, both own and commissioned. The four instrumental soloists focus on two aspects: on the one hand, they want to set themselves apart from conventional brass formations such as quintets or ten- or multi-piece ensembles, and on the other hand, they want to develop their own repertoire. Their spectrum ranges from baroque music to works by Johannes Brahms and Georges Bizet, contemporary compositions, negro spirituals and jazz. Their unusual repertoire leads the listeners through all epochs of music history, they interpret and work on the material in their own unique way.
