Sova was born out of a friendship after the two met at Berklee College of Music, Boston. And they have already worked together on a year 2000 collections of the Best Recording in Berklee, where Lawrence worked as an engineer and producer for a rock band called Godam and Edward played bass. The debut album from Sova ( a k a Lawrence Aswin and Edward Andez ) is sensual and hypnotic, employing such vibration and unique rhythms. Sova draws extensively on their experience from East Coast breakbeat soul styles combine with variety element of electronic ambience. With the soul variation of funk-electronic, they are exploring with more chillout and downtempo scenery, for which they first found a new soulful dance tracks as well as a sampling of their stunning dance floor hits ' Biarkanlah aku.'&' ikuti aku ', even that track is an inspired naked of downtempo grooves, deep soul and jazz, but they still want to keep clear on the issue of their influences. The reaction to this album was ecstatic, especially after they got their production ' Bersama - Oness / Andezzz ' who had a single out last year from Voice of the People/ NYC and recently the single got nominated for Anugerah Musik Indonesia Award 2003 for the best dance/house/electronic music. - - And after a long sleep, now they are back!
