The future gets all funked up on 'Android', the latest release from Aussie producer Jason Grey. The track's robotic vocoder sampling and metallic overtones create a broken down, deconstructed sound, referencing the synth-driven musical score of Blade Runner. The track's two halves are in sharp contrast, with a funky, synth-heavy first act moving into a gritty, chuggin' bassline. 'Android' is classic tech with a neo-Tokyo twist. Remix duties are taken on by well known Spanish artist Rantan, who serves up a chunky, bass-driven rendition in his trademark style. Retaining the funky elements of the Jason Grey original, this prolific producer from Barcelona chops it up with filtered vocals, big beats and a heavy groove. Official Release Date : 9th February 2011
