Multi-Award winning Scottish / Irish / Australian band The BordererS who formed in 1994 took two years to record this album. It was the first time they'd ever written all the songs in the studio. The much anticipated album marks a departure from the band's celtic / rock sound and features original gospel & blues songs alongside country & world music sounds. You'll also hear opera singers and a full gospel choir. The track "Sinner and the Saint" won the Gospel section of the prestigious Independent Music Awards in the US and now goes out to 11 million people via Borders Bookstores and e-music. Two other songs were nominated for awards. The title track "Grace" was nominated as one of the top 5 songs in the Gospel / Christian category of the Musicoz Awards in Australia whilst "Keep the Light On" was in the top 3 of the Peace, Tolerance & Understanding Award at the Port Fairy Festival. The 1st single: "The Dark Horse" was a big hit on national country music stations all around Australia and one of the most requested videos on Country Music Television ( Foxtel ) The BordererS have played at Womad Fetivals in Australia & UK, the Edinburgh Festival, toured Canada & USA and have supported Tom Jones, The Proclaimers & The Chieftains.
