The Winter Storm

Gallaxy is a new band from Ames, Iowa with a range of sounds from the deep mellow sounds similar to The Moody Blues to modern rock similar to what you hear on the radio everyday. The lead singer and songwriter of the band, Samuel Willford, spent his early years in Peoria, Illinois. He grew up listening to classic and modern rock, which influenced him to write songs of his own. Picking up a guitar at age 6, by age 14 he had written his first song. His influences include The Beatles, Asia, The Beach Boys, The Moody Blues, and even modern composers such as Katy Perry.
