End of the Trail
Long time artist Butch Mudbone, formerly on the Midnight Special in the 70s, has completed 8 or 9 cds to date. The End of the Trail is the latest. He has performed in festivals and concerts all over the US, Canada, and Europe. Known as a Delta-style blues guitarist, this latest venture has debuted his talents on the piano and organ as well. His recent recording, "End Of The Trail", like his previous releases, contains some prolific writing and a varied sense of musical composition, mostly based in the Blues, but becoming more complex thru the years. This artist has never been given the recognition he deserves, but you have to acknowledge his dogged perseverence and dedication to his art. He has recorded several other CDs: "Down in Lousiana", "the Roadmasters", "Moan for the 'Bone", "What it is to Have the Blues", "Bone-A-Fide", "My love is Dangerous", "Closer 2 Da 'Bone" , and the latest, "End of the Trail". Butch's track record includes performing with John Lee Hooker, Touring with the Johnny Otis revue, performing with Deacon John, Charles Neville and the Wild Tchoupitoulas, the Dixie-Kups, Earl King, Mojo Buford and a host of others too numerous to name.
