BREAKFAST INCLUDED - WELCOME TO TODAY 'Welcome To Today' is celebrated South African group Breakfast Included's 3rd release following their first 2 albums 'Breakfast Included' and 'NIghtwork Ahead'. It features 11 local and renowned South African jazz artists from Cape Town. The record consists of 4 superbly recorded, produced and engineered tracks. Wanna Be Loved, their hit single currently getting loads of radio airplay, is a true representation of Cape Town, the Mother City, in terms of groove and feel with the lyrics written by pianist and co-producer Jason Reolon. The album includes a stunning and unique version of Windmills of your Mind, the Michel Legrand classic, showing off the supreme vocal talents of their star female vocalist Nomfi Xaluva, as well as incorporating a gorgeous string section as well as cutting edge sound design by drummer and co-producer Shaun Michau. Featuring their star male vocalist, Haydn Gardner, their version of Fever is totally fresh and upbeat, with a funky breakdown section that has placed and re-established this well known standard firmly in the present day with a new sound and feel. New Moon, a Jason Reolon composition infused with African and South African musical colors, features beautiful guitar and flugel horn to complete the EP. Recorded in Cape Town at SAE studios, Welcome to Today was mixed and mastered in New York by Grammy Award winning engineers Dave Darlington and Greg Calbi respectively to attain a beautiful sounding disc, proudly South African and world class in every aspect. 1.
