My name is Stephanie-Anne Johnson and I was born and raised in Tacoma Washington. I went to Stadium High School and Pacific Lutheran University where I wrote some poetry and sang some songs. After school I wasn't sure what to do with myself so I joined AmeriCorps for a year. I worked a Peace Community Center, an off-shoot of Peace Lutheran Church. I learned that I really liked working with kids so I decided to teach preschool. I taught for year while going to school and became certified in Early Childhood Education. Here comes the interesting part. The recession hit and I lost my standing at my job. Some friends of mine from college were working on cruise ships and they sent a youtube video of me singing and playing guitar to their agent in San Diego. Three days later I got a call and I decided to join up with Holland America and be a secessionist on their cruise ships. I have since traveled to Alaska, Hawaii and Mexico with the company all while continuing to sing, play and write music. I've been able to use my nearly 12 years of guitar playing to help me further my musical expression. I am very satisfied with this project and am very grateful for the friendships I've developed (and maintained) while working on it. I hope that you enjoy this present and rest assured it is (as always) a labor of love.
