Autobiograme
Pop-alternative singer Eric Zayne is the newest artist to be signed with JV Project (Sony Canada). Comparable to legends like Prince, Lenny Kravitz and FUN, this artist is known for his eclectic sound, dynamic live performances and instrumental versatility. The recently released mixtape AutobiograMe has gained online acclaim with its unique blend of old-school, funk and modern indie electronics and features artists Matisyahu, Amber Riley from Glee, Rozzi Crane and King Blaise. This year alone, Zayne has won the John Lennon Songwriting Contest and played NAMM's GoPro Mainstage, as well as performing over 50 dates including the Sundance Film Festival, SXSW, CMW, House of Blues Sunset, Sayers Club and Hotel Cafe. His wide audience appeal has landed him gigs ranging from highschool tours to college crowds to famous music halls. He is currently in discussion with Live Nation for a supporting act tour this Fall. Zayne has lived a storied life, raised in the Congo and fleeing to Canada when a civil war erupted, he quickly found solace in music. Zayne landed a gig touring Asia for 5 years playing in a funk band where he developed his musicianship and learned how to connect with an audience. To follow his dream as an artist, Zayne left the band to hone his songwriting and production skills. His decision paid off and by last year, he had three Top 30 songs in Canada, which resulted in a nomination for Best New Dance Artist at the 2014 Canadian Radio Awards. Since moving to Los Angeles, Zayne has been busy recording with renowned and Grammy winning artists, songwriters, producers and engineers while promoting his 1st EP 'Between Us'. He has an active online fan base of 31K followers across Twitter and Facebook, over one million views on Youtube and has appeared in several blogs, indie radio stations and TV appearances. The Hollywood Progressive reviewed his live show as "Unbridled, unleashed and almost uncontrolled enthusiastic talent – that is Eric Zayne."
