RELAX: Edition Seven

by Christian Genzel The speed in which production duo Blank & Jones release new volumes in their lounge/chillout series Relax is staggering, as by now they manage to put out a new double album every year (the first four editions had a gap of two years each between them). As on the previous installments, the album is divided into two sections: the Sun disc with 12 lounge tracks ("mellow, funky & seductive downtempo for the blissful moments") and the Moon disc with a continuous mix of "non-stop Balearic beach house grooves." Guests on the album include Culture Club singer Boy George, Audience frontman Howard Werth, Café del Mar DJ José Padilla, Jason Caesar, and Cathy Battistessa. Relax: Edition Seven charted at number 12 in Germany and was the first volume in the series to enter the Austrian charts (at number 60).
