Star Over Bethlehem

Star Over Bethlehem is the title track from an album I have written which tells the story of the Nativity through the eyes of Mary, Joseph and other characters in the Biblical story. It is presented as a rock-opera with each of the characters singing songs about the events which unfold from their own perspective, propelling the story along. The song 'Star Over Bethlehem' is the final track on the album and brings the listener into the present day and modern Bethlehem. I visited the Holy Land in the summer, staying in Bethlehem, and it was a life-changing experience. All profits from the sale of the single and album are going to Musalaha Ministry of Reconciliation, a Jersualem based non-profit organisation that seeks to promote reconciliation between Israelis and Palestinians and the SIRA school in Bethlehem - a school for children with special educational needs. Both of these charities are partners of Embrace the Middle East, formerly known as BibleLands, the Christian charity which has been working on humanitarian projects in the region for over 150 years.
