Brave New World
With almost 3 years in the making, AFTERLIFE is proud to present their fifth album, "Brave New World", to also coincide with the 30th anniversary of the band. "Brave New World" contains 16 brand-new original tracks in the usual AFTERLIFE tradition, following a variety of styles, but this particular album does show a heavy psychedelic influence, ranging from progressive to pop. From the first track, "Doppelganger", through the last track, "Quicksand", "Brave New World" takes you on a magical, mystical voyage through time and space, sound and sight, day and night, darkness and light. Contained within are familiar elements of AFTERLIFE's past, combined with new sounds and new approaches to make this the best AFTERLIFE album yet. AFTERLIFE was initially formed in January 1986 by Mike Hudson, Jonathan Dorsey and Warren Davis. This trio has remained the same since day one. In the first five years of the band's existence, AFTERLIFE played many concerts and venues. In July 1991, the band went on a hiatus that wound up lasting for 20 years. In October 2011, the band re-formed and begun working on their 2013 release "Compass Rose". One year later, in 2014, initial recording for "Brave New World" commenced. AFTERLIFE is no longer a live performing group, but are now a studio-based group.
