Subtle Deception
"Subtle Deception" is a concept that has been lingering within the church setting since the days of the early 1st century church. The councils met to defend the foundational beliefs against heretical veiws such as the Arian Controvery, Gnoticism, Docetism, etc. I choose to speak on the topic because of its relevance to us as a church body today. Particularly, those who take the Gospel of Jesus Christ to fulfill their personal desires, trying to recruit people to follow "them" as opposed to encouraging, empowering, and edifying people to follow Christ. Here are some Scriptures to help you see the warnings of false teaching. 2 Peter 3:17, 18 Therefore, dear friends, since you already know this, be on your guard so that you may not be carried away by the error of lawless men and fall from your secure position. But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever! Amen. Galatians 5:10 "I am confident in the Lord that you will take no other veiw. The one who is throwing you into confusion will pay the penalty, whoever he may be." Fruits of the Spirit and fruits of the Flesh is a clear indication of whether or not someone is in the Spirit or not. As Peter instructed, we must grow in the Grace and Knowledge of Christ, which then results in our glorifying Him, not anyone else. Whomever seeks to get glory, attention, and power, by insisting that you follow them because of their knowledge of God or whatever, is in danger of polluting the Gospel, thus steering you away from Jesus Christ. We are all on the same playing field when it comes down to God and his love towards us. His Grace is sufficent, period!!!! The Bible doesn't say His grace is sufficent for those who pray louder, read more, dance the best and have more money. His Grace is suffienct, period!!!!! Because Jesus came down and redeem humanity, we ALL have access to God's throne, through Faith in Christ. Brothers and Sisters, please don't be decieved and fooled into "another Gospel". As you read, pray, serve in humility, and fellowship with believers you'll build your relationship with God in a way that you will Know His voice. The Holy Spirit will lead and guide you into righteousness, which will hellp you discern who's who and out for what reason. I pray this has helped you understand a little bit about the New Record, but most of all my heart for you to grow in the grace and knowlege of Jesus Christ. Muchen!!!!!
