Named "a genius on the guitar" by the Los Angeles Times, Blake Aaron began his career as an LA studio musician and sideman and has recorded and/ or performed with such artists as Philip Bailey, Bobby Womack and Carlos Santana (Womack-Save the Children), The Gap Band, Lakeside, Dynasty, The Drifters, The Coasters, Little Anthony and the Imperials, Joe Houston, Mary Wells, Billy Bass, Bernie Worrell, Fish (Fishbone), producer Bill Laswell, Hiroshima, Eric Marienthal, Nelson Rangell, Marion Meadows, Ricky Lawson, Steve Reid's Bamboo Forest, Kuh LaDesma, and Gloria Trevi. Blake Aaron has worked for such television shows and films as "MAD TV" (FOX) where Blake was the show's guitarist for 14 years and theme co-composer with Emmy Winner Greg O' Connor, Steven Seagal's "Half Past Dead 2," (cue composer),"Super Dave Osborne" (Spike TV) guitarist and theme co-composer. Blake has also composed and been the guitarist for shows such as "The Next Best Thing" (ABC) and "The Starlet" (w/Faye Dunaway) (UPN), and was the guitarist for "Chocolate News" (Comedy Central), "10-8" (ABC), "The Jamie Kennedy Experiment" (WB), "Gary and Mike" (UPN), "The Ben Stiller Show" (FOX), and "Sunday Night Comics" (FOX) Blake Aaron is a guitarist who is best known for his passionate musical style, his memorable compositions, his soul and technical expression on the instrument, and his ability to connect with an audience, so it was not long before Blake would emerge as a solo artist. Blake's debut Innervision Records release, With Every Touch (2001), included special guest appearances by Eric Marienthal and David Benoit. Three singles from this CD would remain in the Top 50 on the Gavin/SmoothJazz.com charts for at least 8 weeks each. The single "She's So Fine" from his second album, Bringin' It Back (2004), propelled Blake into the forefront of contemporary jazz by remaining in the Top 30 on the Radio and Records charts for 8 straight weeks. Two singles would reach the top 100 of the year on the R&R charts. Additionally, with the assistance of All Star Music Lessons, Blake would produce three instructional videos for the guitar. Meanwhile, he continued his studio work with several television shows, which included regular recording sessions and an appearance on Mad TV. In 2007, Blake released his third CD, DESIRE. Packed with 15 songs of sexy grooves and beautiful, unforgettable melodies, with such hit singles as "Bumpin' on the Wes Side," DESIRE was in the Top 20 on Radio and Records for 15 weeks and #1 on the Indie Charts for 20 weeks. In 2008, Blake Aaron began hosting an internationally syndicated weekly radio show recorded live from host station KSBR. Several stations are already running the Blake Aaron Radio Show including KSBR/Mission Viejo, WVSU/Birmingham, Solar Radio (Satellite radio in the UK and Western Europe), KIHT-HD3/St. Louis, AmbianceJazzOnline.com, Jazz-City.com, WavJazz.net, SmoothJazzExpressions.com, KSBR.com, OhZone.com (Taiwan), Smooth Groove Phoenix, and JazzMatrix.com. The Blake Aaron Radio Show is an artist to artist live radio show with the main purpose of bringing the contemporary/groove/smooth jazz listener closer to the music and the contemporary/smooth jazz artist family and has had such guests as, Craig Chaquico, Boney James, Neal Schon (Journey), Peter White, Najee, Hiroshima, Nathan East, Spencer Day, Chieli Minucci, Caleb Quaye (Elton John), Paul Jackson Jr., Ricky Lawson, Evelyn Champagne King, Freddie Fox, Jessy J., Jackiem Joyner, UNam, and Nils.
