Boogie Makes a Splash - Remixes
The song "Boogie Makes A Splash" was inspired by a porn flick starring Cytherea and Belladonna. Jason Klein, Monster Taxi's creator, first heard about Cytherea while listening to The Howard Stern show. His local radio station, however, kept censoring the interview Stern was having with Cytherea since it was still on terrestrial radio. Out of curiosity, Klein downloaded one of Cytherea’s movies and saw something he had never seen before. He then started questioning his friends about her special talents and began hearing similar stories from them. Two weeks later, a friend from Universal Music and Ministry of Sound requested a new single from Monster Taxi for an upcoming compilation. Klein enlisted classic rock singer Marco Cocchiaro and DJ's Austin Leeds and Ben Grassini, giving birth to “Boogie Makes A Splash.” They also created Disco, Funk and House mixes. The "XXX Wet Mix" of "Boogie Makes A Splash" became a part of Ministry of Sound’s Annual 2006 for South America edition. Klein also enlisted his mentors DJ Grego and DJ Cubanito to do Tribal and House remixes. Other remixes included Andy Sikorski’s Mirror Disco, Playground Superstar’s Electro and a Heavy Metal version by DJ Monchi. The next single from Monster Taxi is called "Memory Wack." Both songs along with a remake of Foxy's Disco smash "Get Off" featuring original members of Foxy along with Rachel Panay will be included on an upcoming promo CD from Monster Taxi. The full-length Monster Taxi album is slated for a September 2006 release and will also include the track "Cosmic Love Juice" featuring diva Pepper Mashay. "Cosmic Love Juice" was included on last year's Ministry of Sound's Annual 2005.
