Drum & Piano (feat. Endi)
After a series of platinum CDs and a Guinness record, it is just natural for HAVASI to launch albums from time to time which give people a whole new vision of the classical piano and music. ENDI, a dare-devil of the band Hooligans, has repeatedly proved his talent behind the drums. While at first sight it may be striking to see both guys together, their approach to music is nearly the same and the difference between them is merely apparent. After almost two years of preparation, ENDI and HAVASI brought out a professional studio album to prove that you can create a kind of music which comes as a surprise to the whole world. You can produce something which is not an imitation. All you need is an original idea and two unique characters. Drum & Piano, their latest release, may become a real milestone in pop music. It is unprecedented to have an entire musical album protagonised by the classical piano and the rock drum, each a heavy-weight instrument which has excelled in two widely different genres. A duel or cooperation? Against each other or attuned? There is a point in all approaches, and this bold experiment, based on the friendship of the two guys, has by now become a brilliant success. The Drum & Piano Project premiered on 11 July 2011 in Scotland, at TED Global, one of the most prominent scientific conferences in the world. The joint production of the two special characters received a standing ovation both in the most elegant concert halls and at the summer festivals which attract the highest crowds. Virtuosity, Originality Style: This is HAVASI HAVASI is a contemporary composer who is able to impress the audience in the most elegant concert halls, theatres, sports halls or even the most popular summer festivals at the same time. In recent years he has made it to the closed community of the international elite of artists all by himself. After ten years of experiments he created his peculiar and unique musical world. He has already composed or symphony orchestras, choirs, string ensembles and also for the rock drum and piano. It is common knowledge that he enjoys stretching the limits, often artificially established, of musical genres. He wrote a song for singer Tracey Thorn, a world-famous member of the band Everything But The Girl, and gave a speech at the TED Global conference about his efforts in musical innovation. His aim was to prove that musical genres and categories are permeable, and that piano, an instrument designed more than 200 years ago, is definitely able to remain modern and widely popular in the 21st century. HAVASI's genre is modern classical music. The author of 11 platinum records, he was the Musical Innovator of the Year 2011. HAVASI was honorary guest of the Shanghai Expo and has given more than 500 concerts so far. He invented the Guinness World Record “The Fastest Pianist of the World” (2009).
