Point of No Return
‘Point Of No Return’ is a rumba-blues played on a Martin Dreadnought with some overdubs on an old Fender Stratocaster. Of course one main influence was Robben Ford, but this track is much more on the acoustic side. Originally released twenty years ago on the Wildwechsel Sampler Heimatklaenge 1996 this dates back to even before Hausmann’s debut singer/songwriter album “Back On The Track” from 1999, which is also available here. Jens Hausmann’s passion for the guitar has taken him down many diverse stylistic paths, from the beginnings with classical music and roots in folk and jazz, through blues, rock, pop, latin, flamenco and back to classical music. Over the years this gave him the chance to develop his unique guitar style. Nowadays Hausmann mainly concentrates on instrumental fingerstyle guitar. Besides playing and teaching he also writes for the German Magazine ‘Akustik Gitarre’.
