AVE' - formerly The Velazquez Family Singers (VFS) - have been recording artists since the ages of 6, 8 & 10. Now ranging from ages 14 - 18, AVE' is a teen band focusing on promoting positive and inspiring music to their peers and beyond. With strong dance music influences, AVE' has opened their fan base to countries around the world, especially in Europe and Asia. Wanting to combine great music, great vocals and encouraging lyrics, AVE' is arriving on the scene just in a time to combat the negative imagery existent in popular music. Below is a list of AVE' achievements: • Co-hosts on a bi-weekly internet radio talk/music show entitled “3 Teens & A Dad!” on http://www.spiritco1.com/ . • Recorded 3 previous albums, all nominated for a Stellar (Gospel Music) Award for Children’s Project of the Year. • Two times winning of the McDonald’s Gospelfest – Groups category. • Recorded with such artists like gospel superstar Kirk Franklin, jazz great Alex Bugnon, and legendary vocalist Sarah Dash of hit 70's group - LaBelle • Sang background for Jill Scott in the 2010 Annual Black Girls Rock Award Show on BET. • Upcoming CD releases with the Gospel Soul Children of New York and French dance group Ecaru. • Released “While We Still Have Time” as a fundraiser for the victims of the 2010 earthquake in Haiti. • Still sing for the elderly in nursing homes and ill children in hospitals. • Presents free concerts at public libraries - “The Wiz” and “A Tribute to Whitney Houston.” • The two high school students are member of the National Honors Society.
