Music & Words

Hey! My name is David Usselman, and if you're reading this, you've either already been listening to my music- or hopefully will decide to go and do so after reading. Before you do, I'd like to share a bit of my philosophy of music with you. I believe that great music is, at its simplest, an honest reflection of self. If you sit down with your instrument and begin to noodle around, what do you play? 'Cause that's your music. It's not what you want people to think your music is, nor what you hope people will think it is. It is simply, yourself. I've been fortunate enough to be able to work with Mike on this EP, who's the type of guy that brings out the honesty in you. I hope when you listen to my EP, you can find a situation to identify with, a melody that you can hum, or a line that makes you laugh. Or, that you just enjoy the tunes. 'Cause no matter which way you look at it or listen to it, it's all just a bunch of music and words. :-) -Dave
