Sweet Lies EP

After a little summer break, Crossfrontier Audio is back with catalog number 19, throwing another extremely talented newcomer act your way. Sebastian and Nick were active in the Drum & Bass scene for many years, but decided to switch things up a bit and focus on producing a more deep- and tech-house style with their new alias: Maximono. They were already able to show off their talent in the spring of this year, with the 'Birds in Space EP' on Yippiee, and we are happy to welcome them to the Crossfrontier Audio artist roster. Keeping their musical background alive with heavy basslines, their 'Sweet Lies EP' also features a striking vocal and a lush groove, making it the perfect soundtrack for late summer open airs and club nights. As always, we handpick remix artists to create a well-rounded package. To start off, we have a dear friend of the label, namely Soul Button from Steyoyoke. His eclectic taste and background have created a unique production style within the heart of this talented artist. A vigorous house beat is combined with a touch of soul to create a smooth groove and end up with a mix between melodic deep-house and innovative tech-house. To finish off, we go to the Ukraine, where we get hold of upcoming artist Deepnite, who caught our attention with his amazing releases on Affkt's label Sincopat. With his keen instinct for melodic deep-house tracks, he was simply the perfect choice for remixing the B-side track 'Welfengarten'. And lastly, just a heads up for everybody who is in or near Berlin: we are celebrating our 2-year anniversary party at Ritter Butzke on the 13th of September.
