Lavelle are an indie rock band from Dublin, Ireland. Formed in early 2014, the band consists of singer-songwriter John Ryan (guitar, vocals), Andre Falci (drums), Dave McGinn (piano, backing vocals), and Brian Dowling (bass). During 2014, they focused on perfecting their songs and recorded two demos. In May 2015, the debut single "Held Down" was released. The band regularly gig around Ireland, and have played at the Rose of Tralee festival, Gypsy Rose, Whelan's, the Grand Social, and the Mercantile. They have been featured frequently on Irish radio, including RTE 2XM, Radio Nova, Classic Hits 4FM, and NearFM. In July 2015, Lavelle were named Hot Press magazine's Band of the Week.
