Candela Recordings was founded by Pablo Rodriguez the first music collaborations was with Nickodemus and the puertorrican legends Polito Huerta, Manolito Gonzalez and Juancito Torres RIP. After that in the early 200's Pablo invited Paul Seiji Londond a member of Bugz in the attic a crew of creators of the Broken Beats or Westt London sound and came with the idea of mixing the puertorrican music with his West London sound. Inmediately after Papa Records released it the first track became an Anthem in clubs around the world. After that Oreja Recorded the second single Manana por la manana and debut #7 on DJ Magazine and became also an anthem after those 2 succesfull tracks, he released music with other members of the Bugz and John Beltran recording La Candela that came out on Ubiquity Records and also became a popular tracks around the world. Next Tracks Carnaval and Golpe Tuyo Calinda with Afronaut were nominated for best song on the BBC Worldwide music awards nominated by Gilles Peterson. After this Pablo decided to start releasing his songs on his own record label Candela Recordings. As a club owner, music distributor, record store owner and after the series of succesfull releases Pablo knew that he has to come with something strong and at thhe same time wanted it to release something that sounded a little diferent. He join forces with Local Salsa singer Tempo Alomar and invited Nickodemus and and Quantic to work on Candela Recordings first release. "Mi Swing es Tropical" came out and sold out in 24 hours and inmediately became a summer anthem, after that the song became the oficial Apple Ipod Campaign and the rest is history. In this cds we included diferent sounds from diferent periods and diferent sounds. We hope you enjoy the trip and travel with us thru all the fun.
