君は薔薇より美しい (feat. EXILE SHOKICHI)
This year marks the 45th anniversary of their debut as the leader of GODAIGO, and Mickie Yoshino is also active as an arranger and composer. The second song of the project, "Lucky 70 Festival" [KoKi], is "Kimi wa Bara yori Utsukushii (You are more beautiful than a rose)," produced by Seiji Kameda. And EXILE SHOKICHI, the vocalist of EXILE, is joining as the featuring artist! "Kimi wa Bara yori Utsukushii (You are more beautiful than a rose)," was released in 1979 as a song for Akira Fuse. It was written and arranged by Mickie Yoshino, and the members of GODAIGO participated in the recording. The song became a hit number, ranking in the Oricon annual chart in the same year. The song has been covered by many artists in Japan and abroad, and has been used in various tie-ups. 42 years later, it is still a beloved classic, but for this project, it has been arranged with a Latin flavor, giving it a different appeal from the original.
