West Coast Mafia (Explicit)
Debuting on a new label, West Coast Mafia, with an album of the same name, C-Bo continues his dark vision of left-coast gangster politics, with the apocalyptic chords and lyrical menace to match. C-Bo starts right from the beginning, reassuring listeners that the West Coast is still selling records with "Milk & Honey" and reminding everyone who's really gangsta with "We Did It." "Can U Deal Wit This?" finds him trading some great rhymes with Killa Tay and Big Lurch, while Roger Troutman, Jr. makes up for the absence of his father on talkbox guitar. Though C-Bo raps prove he's still at the top of his game, the productions are a bit samey, with dark chords and trebly percussion rollers on most every track.
