Somatic Industrial EP
The second release from burgeoning Leeds label is 'Somatic Industrial' by Toolroom Knights man Richard Dinsdale. It comes as no surprise Dinsdale is involved with this Leeds label having been a Filth regular in recent years: the sets he has laid down in front of the raving Yorkshire masses mean they have taken him to their heart like one of their own - and this slice of propulsive tech is only set to solidify that relationship. 'Do You Think About Me?' starts with industrial ticks and whirls before jolting into action with a high tempo techy kick and rarely lets up from then on in. The ethereal 'tell me' vocal allows you to catch your breath before the track drives off again into peak time tech house territory of the sort which will get fists pumping and feet stomping. 'Put your hands up' is an altogether tougher piece of machine music which starts with grainy, rushing techno undertones. When a solid, relentless kick joins the fold and the whooshes drop in and out, a frantic tech house onslaught ensues. A rather eerie voice then demands you put your hands up whilst tension broods below until it all bubbles over into floor slaying beats once again. This a solid release from a young label which knows where it's heading, and another solid slice of chunky tech house from the ever on form Richard Dinsdale.
